Thoracic Metastasis of Sarcoma
Definition: Sarcomas are rare kinds of cancers originating from soft tissue or bone, which can metastasize, or spread, to the thoracic area including the lungs and chest wall.
Current Status and Incidence: Due to the rarity of sarcomas, thoracic metastases are uncommon. Lung metastases are the most frequent site for sarcoma metastasis.
Treatment Methods: May include surgery to remove metastatic tumors, systemic chemotherapy, and targeted therapy or radiation therapy.
